CHIKANVEDA – CASH ON DELIVERY (COD) POLICY
Last Updated: 15/July/2026
ChikanVeda may offer Cash on Delivery (“COD”) for eligible orders and serviceable locations.
COD availability is subject to operational, logistical and fraud-prevention requirements.
1. COD Availability
COD may not be available for every:
-
PIN code;
-
product;
-
order value;
-
customer;
-
promotional offer.
The availability of COD shall be displayed at checkout where applicable.
2. COD Order Confirmation
ChikanVeda or its logistics/payment partner may contact the customer to verify a COD order.
The customer may be asked to confirm:
-
name;
-
mobile number;
-
delivery address;
-
order details.
3. COD Payment
The customer must pay the complete COD amount to the authorised delivery agent at the time of delivery.
Customers should not make payment to unauthorised individuals or through unofficial links.
4. COD Charges
Where a COD or handling charge is applicable, it shall be clearly disclosed before the customer confirms the order.
5. No OTP/PIN Requirement for Payment
ChikanVeda will never require a customer to disclose:
-
ATM PIN;
-
card PIN;
-
CVV;
-
UPI PIN;
-
banking password;
to ChikanVeda personnel or delivery personnel.
Customers should enter payment credentials only into the authorised payment interface of their bank/payment provider.
6. COD Cancellation
Customers may request cancellation before dispatch by contacting ChikanVeda.
Once the order has been dispatched, cancellation may not always be operationally possible and the applicable Cancellation/Return Policy shall apply.
7. COD Refusal at Delivery
Customers should accept an order that they have confirmed unless they have a legitimate reason not to do so.
Repeated refusal of confirmed COD orders may result in COD being disabled for future orders where reasonably necessary to prevent abuse or losses.
Any such restriction shall not affect legitimate consumer rights.
8. Failed Delivery
If delivery fails because the recipient is unavailable, refuses delivery, provides an incorrect address or otherwise prevents delivery, the logistics partner may return the package to ChikanVeda.
9. Repeated COD Abuse
ChikanVeda may use reasonable fraud-prevention measures for COD transactions.
These may include:
-
order verification;
-
limiting COD eligibility;
-
requiring prepaid payment for future orders;
-
restricting unusually high-risk orders.
Such measures shall be implemented consistently and subject to applicable law.
10. COD Returns
If a COD order is legitimately eligible for return, the Return Policy shall apply.
If the order is placed using Cash on Delivery (COD), the COD charges will not be refunded.
Where a refund is due, ChikanVeda may request the customer’s bank account or UPI details for electronic transfer.
11. COD Refunds
COD orders cannot ordinarily be refunded in cash after delivery.
Refunds shall normally be processed through an appropriate electronic method after the required verification.
12. Fraud Prevention
ChikanVeda may cancel or restrict a COD order where there are reasonable grounds to suspect:
-
fraudulent activity;
-
identity misuse;
-
fake orders;
-
repeated non-delivery/refusal;
-
abuse of promotional offers;
-
other material transaction risk.
