CHIKANVEDA – REFUND POLICY

This Refund Policy explains when and how ChikanVeda processes refunds for eligible orders.

1. Circumstances for Refund

A refund may be processed where applicable due to:

approved cancellation;
approved return;
unavailable product after payment;
incorrect product supplied;
eligible defective/damaged product;
failure to deliver where refund is appropriate;
duplicate payment;
other circumstances requiring refund under applicable law.

2. Refund Eligibility

Refund eligibility depends upon the applicable order circumstances, product condition and the relevant Cancellation, Return or Exchange Policy.

Nothing in this Policy excludes a refund or other remedy where required under applicable law.

3. Refund Method

Where reasonably possible, prepaid-order refunds shall be processed through the original payment method.

Depending on the payment provider, bank or payment instrument, the actual crediting time may vary.

4. COD Orders

For COD orders, where a refund is due, ChikanVeda may request the customer’s bank account/UPI details or use another appropriate refund mechanism.

Customers should provide accurate account details.

ChikanVeda shall not be responsible for delays caused by incorrect bank/payment information supplied by the customer.

If the order is placed using Cash on Delivery (COD), the COD charges will not be refunded.

5. Refund Processing Time

After approval of the refund, ChikanVeda shall initiate the refund within a reasonable period and in accordance with applicable law and the relevant payment-system requirements.

The bank/payment provider may take additional time to credit the amount.

6. Shipping Charges

Treatment of shipping charges shall depend upon the reason for the refund and the applicable policy.

If an order is placed using express delivery, the express delivery charges will not be refunded.

Where the return/refund is due to ChikanVeda’s error, defective product or wrong product, applicable charges shall be handled appropriately.

For customer-requested returns permitted under the applicable policy, original shipping charges may be treated in accordance with the product/order terms and applicable law.

7. Partial Refund

Where permitted, a partial refund may be issued for:

eligible partial order cancellation;
missing item;
agreed adjustment;
another circumstance where full cancellation of the order is not required.

8. Failed Refund

If a refund fails because of an incorrect bank/UPI/payment detail, ChikanVeda may contact the customer to obtain corrected information.

9. Promotional Discounts

Where a refund relates to an order purchased using a discount, coupon or promotional benefit, the refund shall be calculated according to the actual amount paid and applicable promotional terms, subject to consumer law.

11. Fraud and Chargebacks

Where a customer initiates a payment dispute or chargeback for an amount already refunded or for an order that was legitimately fulfilled, ChikanVeda may provide relevant transaction and delivery evidence to the payment provider/bank.

Nothing in this clause prevents a customer from exercising legitimate rights.
